Strawberry Popsicles

Ice cream are not just the only frozen treats that you can serve. This Popsicle is a great way to include kefir’s probiotic health benefits into our diet.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (I used the So Delicious brand)
  • 2 cups halved strawberries
  • 1 cup unsweetened kefir (I used the Pinehedge brand)
  • 2 scoops (about 60g) vanilla protein powder (be sure it has no sugar or artificial thingies added)
  • 15 drops liquid stevia

Directions

  1. Simply combine the strawberries and coconut milk into a blender and mix until combine.
  2. And at the same time, pour kefir into mixing bowl and add the strawberry mixture and stir until combined. Add the stevia and stir.
  3. Slowly pour the mixture into popsicle molds and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or even overnight.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • 4 fish fillets
  • 3 tbsp semolina
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp rice flour
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Begin by mixing in a bowl the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and a little water and mix well until slightly thinner paste.
  2. Then apply the mixture to fish and marinate for about 15-30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the rice flour and semolina. Then roll the fish into the mixture and fry in a skillet until crisp. Squeeeze half lime over the fish fry.
  4. Note: you can change the proportion of the spices according to your taste.

  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk Kefir (cow or goat)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2 Medium Cucumbers, quartered lengthwise and diced
  • 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar or well-fermented Kombucha
  • Pinch of Ground Cumin

Directions

  1. Simply combine together all the ingredients in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes before serving.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup kefir or yogurt
  • 3 large bananas, mashed (or use 2 mashed bananas and one grated apple)
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or other healthy oil)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Whisk together the the mashed banana, kefir, egg, oil, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375 degrees and arrange the muffin pan with paper liner or lightly grease the pan.
  3. Then combine the dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. And add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just to  combined. Keep in mind not to over mix.
  4. Next is to divide the batter into the pan. And bake afterwards for about 20 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  1. Begin by blend together the lemon yogurt, honey, and lemon juice in a salad bowl.
  2. Gently fold in the cantaloupe balls, strawberries, and watermelon balls. Then toss evenly to coat and serve.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups combination of plain kefir and raw milk — I suggest cups kefir and 2 cups milk at first
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons virgin, unrefined coconut oil
  • 1/2 to 1 cup seasonal fruit, such as sweet cherries or raspberries (optional)
  • 3 handfuls (okay, about 1/2 cup packed lightly) of raisins or date pieces
  • 12 ice cubes

Directions

  1. Simply put all the ingredients into a vita-mix and blend until you can no longer hear the ice. Pour into glasses and serve.

  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breast into 1 1/2-inch sized pieces. Then mix together in a bowl the cheese, bread crumbs, salt, thyme and basil.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. Next put the melted butter into a separate bowl for dipping.
  4. Into the melted butter, dip the chicken pieces then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Arrange the coated chicken pieces onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes.
